Paula Frizbe was born in Nashville and has lived in the middle Tennessee area most of her life. Her love for art and painting was inspired by an interest she shared with her father. Paula majored in art and painting in college, holding a B.A. and masters degree in fine art. Early in her career , she worked as a commercial artist for a local agency. She returned to her first love of painting many years ago and pursues that passion on a daily basis.
Paula has studied oil painting with a number of well-known artists and teachers throughout the United States. Currently she travels and paints with other plein air painters and is a signature member of The Cumberland Society of Painters. In the fall of 1998, she was invited to be a member of Alla Prima International, a select group of plein air painters from across America. She is also a member of the Chestnut Group, an organization dedicated to painting for the land conservancy trust movement. Her work is currently represented in numerous private and public collections. Please visit the shop to purchase her limited edition prints.
